Our home for our weekend on the Monterey Peninsula was the
gorgeous Clement Monterey InterContiental hotel. This is a five star property
located smack dab in the middle of Cannery Row, just a two minute walk from the
famous aquarium. Most of the 208 rooms in the hotel have fireplaces and Bay views, and all
have the bells and whistles you want including big flat screen TVs, Wireless Internet
($9.95/day), double glazed windows that open and huge marble bathrooms. A huge
plus – the entire hotel is non-smoking.
Off season rates start at $199 per night and considering a
three-star motel room in Monterey is more than $100/night, the Interconti is a
great deal.
